Cathy Cruzan
Cathy Cruzan serves as our administrator. She has been self-employed for 28 years and currently manages her husband David’s counseling practice. They live on 13 acres in Knoxville and have always homeschooled their three boys. Their family attended just 2 dances when they were held in Mount Airy prior to the lockdowns and rather than wait indefinitely for them to resume, recruited a team, reserved the church and started an adventure. They have hosted various youth events at their homestead over the years and seek to offer a safe environment where relationships can develop, deep conversations can evolve and the skills of life can be passed from one generation to the next.

Caty Rinehart
Caty Rinehart serves as our music and dance instruction coordinator. She fills her days with homeschooling her three children, helping run two family businesses (martial arts/fitness academy and life coaching services) and serving her family, friends, church, and local community in Frederick. She is involved as a Huddle leader through Fellowship of Christian Athletes and seeks any opportunity to disciple others who desire to know Christ. She has a passion for exercise and movement arts as well as personal growth from a Gospel-centered perspective. In Caty’s experience the combination of the two exponentially grows both! Playing ‘DJ’ has a steep learning curve but she is privileged to help provide a safe and fun atmosphere for young folks to enjoy themselves while making memories and developing social skills that will serve them for years to come!

Bethany Campbell

Bethany serves as our decorator.  She is the Mother of seven and a proud new grandma this year. She resides on a small farm in Walkersville, hosting the monthly community event “Books in the Barn” from May through October. With 23 years of homeschooling, three graduates, and active involvement in two local co-ops, she’s deeply rooted in education. Actively engaged in her local church community, she’s known for her love of being in the kitchen, often cooking and baking for friends and family, as well as hosting holiday gatherings. She discovered the homeschool dance in October 2022, and started helping with the food and chaperoning. She enjoyed being there while her kids participated, leading to involvement in dance events, where her love for decorating and hosting themed parties shines. She enjoys the joy and camaraderie that the dance brings into her life.

Instructor

Sarah May
Sarah May is our ballroom dancing instructor. Starting with ballet at a young age, she eventually found a passion for ballroom and latin dance. Over the years she has taught classes at Frederick Community College, local social dances and choreographed dances for weddings/special events. She currently also offers private and group lessons. Sarah fell in love with ballroom through homeschool dances like these and is so blessed to be able to pass that love onto future generations.
